The Horseshoe Bay Property Owners’ Association has had a deer population management program in place for the past three years. As part of this program, the HSB POA has worked with the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department to trap and remove whitetail deer from our community. We have removed over 600 deer in this period.
James Bonds of Dripping Springs has provided trapping and transport services for each of those three years. The deer have been trapped and transported with minimal (less than 3%) mortality rates and very little intrusion into the lives our our citizens.
